UN Palestinian aid agency’s cryptocurrency wallets investigated over Hamas ties – Washington Examiner

EXCLUSIVE An Israeli firm that helped authorities claw back $90 million worth of Hamas-owned cryptocurrency is investigating digital wallets held by the leading Palestinian aid agency for the United Nations, the Washington Examiner has learned.

Lionsgate Network, a Tel Aviv-based company staffed by blockchain analysts, specializes in cash recovery services for investors and was notably enlisted by Israels Ministry of Defense to intercept funds linked to Hamas after the terrorist factions deadly Oct. 7 attack on the Jewish state. Now, Lionsgate has embarked on a new project: tracking the flow of crypto donations to the U.N. Relief and Works Agency, whose since-fired employees were recently accused by Israel of participating in the Hamas-led massacre, prompting the United States and other countries to pause aid to UNRWA.

Our companys vision is to secure crypto transactions and eliminate financial transactions targeting communities around the world, Lionsgate Network CEO Bezalel Raviv told the Washington Examiner. There is a loophole in the financial system, and its no longer a very small group of people. Its like 1.5% of the worlds capital were talking about over $1.5 trillion U.S. dollars.

The startups investigation underscores how UNRWA, which has long earned the ire of foreign policy experts and lawmakers over its ties to Hamas, is being comprehensively scrutinized by watchdogs after the Oct. 7 attack. Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), who sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, introduced legislation on Monday that would ban U.S. funds to UNRWA. The Biden administration renewed aid in 2021 to the Palestinian aid agency just three years after former President Donald Trump cut off support to UNRWA over concerns stemming from its ties to terrorism and the hiring of antisemitic employees.

In turn, Bidens decision has culminated in taxpayers footing the bill for at least $730 million in payments to UNRWA since 2021. The U.S. government said on Tuesday that over 99% of U.S. funds approved by Congress for the UNRWA have already been sent to it with just $300,000 still on hold.

UNRWA formed in 1949 to carry out direct relief and works programs for Palestinian refugees. But critics say it unjustly relieves Hamas, which controls Gaza, of responsibilities to provide basic services to civilians. The agency, which is led by Swiss Italian Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, faces an uncertain future after Secretary of State Antony Blinken asserted that Israeli allegations about its employees participating in Oct. 7 are highly credible.

UNRWA has a 501(c)(3) charity in the U.S. that accepts crypto donations, such as bitcoin, a digital asset that, for federal tax purposes, is treated as property, according to the IRS and digital software records. The crypto option stems from the UNRWA charitys partnership in December 2021 with the Giving Block, a fundraising platform for tax-exempt organizations.

Raviv said his company is tracking specific blockchain transactions to see where donations to the Palestinian aid agency end up and is in conversation with the U.S. State Department on certain projects.

While Lionsgate successfully worked to recover cash from Hamas, the terrorist group has become more elusive and shifted its assets around, the CEO told the Washington Examiner. Hamas and other terrorist groups, including Palestinian Islamic Jihad, have increasingly turned to crypto in recent years because its decentralized nature affords secrecy, according to multiple reports.

After Oct. 7, the U.S. government sanctioned the Gaza-based Buy Cash, a company that saw its wallets seized in 2021 by Israels National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing in connection to a Hamas fundraising campaign, the U.S. Treasury Department said. Crypto coins are stored by users inwhat are known asdigital wallets, which contain information such as private passwordsand confidential data, according to Coinbase, the largest crypto exchange in the world.

Lionsgates investigation into UNRWA is independent and, for the time being, not on behalf of any clients, according to Raviv.

Conversations with the State Department are becoming closer because one of the Hamas wallets is still active and over $40 million is moving in and out, Raviv said.

The Tel Aviv-based analytics and software firm BitOK found Hamas-tied crypto wallets raked in the cash between roughly August 2021 and June 2023, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Awareness is key, he said. We really want to encourage communities and people who are active in the crypto community to look at the problems and solutions.

Aside from crypto, UNRWAs charity in the U.S. routinely takes large sums through donor-advised funds, which allow wealthy contributors to shield their names from publicly released financial disclosures. The arrangement is often criticized by watchdogs as a dark money loophole.

UNRWAs charity in the U.S., for instance, accepted $262,578 in 2022 through the Fidelity Investments Charitable Gift Fund, tax forms show.

That year, $109,280 also flowed through the Schwab Charitable Fund to the UNRWAs U.S. outfit.

UNRWA and the State Department did not return requests for comment.

Oregon man charged with cryptocurrency theft following multi-agency investigation – Cleveland Daily Banner

An investigation by special agents with the Cybercrime and Digital Evidence Unit of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation into the theft of cryptocurrency resulted in the arrest Tuesday of an Oregon man, according to a statement released by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Patrick Samuel Hakim, 38, was charged in the investigation, which reached across the country and included agencies from multiple states and jurisdictions, including that State of Oregon Department of Justice, the Albany (Oregon) Police Department, the Lincoln County (Oregon) Sheriffs Office, the Ionia County (Michigan) Sheriffs Office, the Santa Clara County (California) District Attorneys Office REACT Task Force and the FBI Norfolk (Virginia) Field Office.

In May 2023, at the request of 10th Judicial District Attorney General Shari Tayloe, TBI special agents began an investigation into the theft of cryptocurrency from a Polk County resident.

During the course of the investigation, agents determined that from September 2022 through December 2023, on three separate occasions funds were stolen from the victim's account, at a loss totaling approximately $330,300 at the time of the theft.

While the stolen cryptocurrency was sent to multiple exchanges, the investigation revealed that the theft in those incidents could either be traced to accounts belonging to Patrick Hakim of Albany, Oregon, or involved accounts or services subscribed to by Hakim.

On Jan. 26, TBI applied for and was granted an arrest warrant for Hakim in the 10th Judicial District of Tennessee for one count of theft of property, over $250,000.

On Jan. 30, detectives with the Albany Police Department arrested Hakim, on the charge out of Tennessee and placed him into custody.

He is currently being held in the Linn County (Oregon) Jail while awaiting an extradition hearing.

The case is also being referred to the Linn County (Oregon) District Attorneys Office for consideration of local charges, including computer crime and laundering a monetary instrument.

The TBI said it remains unclear whether there may be an additional victim or victims in relation to this case.

For that reason, the TBI urges anyone with information to contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

Press Release: Supporting Celsius Creditors with Crypto Distributions – PayPal Newsroom

Starting today, U.S.-based Celsius creditors can access their cryptocurrency distributions through PayPal and Venmo, two trusted payments brands that provide cryptocurrency services to our consumers. Celsius creditors can login to PayPal (click here for PayPal) or Venmo (click here for Venmo using your mobile device), enter their unique claim codes provided by Celsius , and follow the on-screen instructions to receive their distributions of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

Here are the steps for U.S.-based Celsius creditors to receive cryptocurrency distributions from Celsius via PayPal or Venmo:

Crypto distributions from Celsius begin today and will continue in the coming weeks. We will notify you once the crypto is in your account, at which point you can easily manage or move your crypto using our simple and secure platforms. You can read more from Celsius on how distributions will work by clicking here.

Q: When will I receive my crypto distribution?

Celsius will begin distributing crypto on or around January 31, 2024.

Q: Do I need to let PayPal/Venmo know where to send my crypto?

Yes Celsius creditors will get claim codes from Stretto for their BTC and another one for ETH. Those codes can be used on either PayPal OR Venmo but not both. Codes are tied to a Celsius account ID, and if redeemed on one platform (PayPal or Venmo), the account ID is tied to that platform for this round of distribution.

Q: Will I get all my crypto in this distribution?

Initial cryptocurrency distributions will begin on or shortly after the effective date, which is currently expected to occur on or around January 31, 2024. Additional distributions may occur after this date as determined by Stretto in accordance with the Celsius reorganization plan (the Plan). Look for communications from Stretto as additional distributions occur.

Q: Can I split my claim distribution between my PayPal and Venmo accounts?

No - your claim for cryptocurrency must be completed on the same platform where it is initiated; through either PayPal or Venmo. For example, if you claim your BTC on PayPal, you must also claim your ETH on PayPal. If you claim your BTC on Venmo, you must also claim your ETH on Venmo.

Q: Is there a deadline to redeem my Celsius claim via PayPal or Venmo?

Creditors will have one year to redeem their Celsius distribution claims from the first attempted delivery. Any distribution that is unclaimed or otherwise remains undeliverable for one year after the first attempt to deliver shall be treated as unclaimed property under the Plan and promptly distributed to creditors. Read more about liquid vs. Illiquid crypto distributions here.

Q: What if Im not in the U.S.?

PayPal and Venmo are distribution partners for U.S. creditors only. Look for communications from Stretto for how creditors outside the U.S. will receive distributions.

Q: What about coins PayPal / Venmo doesnt support?

Celsius has multiple classes of creditors. For creditors who had assets in their Custody account, they can login to the Celsius app and withdraw those coins today. For claimants in the Earn or Convenience classes, all crypto was converted by Stretto to Bitcoin and Ethereum and those are the only coins that will be distributed.

Q: How much of my crypto am I getting back?

Please contact Stretto for any information on how much you are due in distributions.

Q: How long after I enter my claim code will I get my crypto?

Once you enter your claim code, PayPal and Venmo will check to make sure your account is set up to receive crypto transfers. This includes an additional verification step and lets us know that you are the correct recipient of the crypto. Once completed, you will get their crypto almost instantly.

Q: How will I know when my crypto is deposited into my account?

You will get an email confirmation with the balance of crypto deposited into their account. The activity history in your app or on our website will also show a credit from Celsius.

Q: Do I need to keep my crypto on PayPal or Venmo?

No - once crypto is deposited into your account, you will have the option of purchasing additional supported crypto, holding it, selling it or transferring your crypto to a supported third-party exchange or wallet.

October 7 Victims, in a Blockbuster Suit, Take on Iran, Syria, and a Cryptocurrency Exchange – The New York Sun

The filing of a civil lawsuit in federal court in New York opens a new front tort law in the effort to hold Hamas, its patrons, and its financial front accountable for the atrocities of October 7.

The suit seeks compensation not only from the regimes at Tehran and Damascus, but also from the crypto currency exchange Binance, which it accuses of providing a financial platform for terrorism..

The case is brought by a class of plaintiffs all of whom are American citizens who have suffered from Hamass brutality. Two of them, Judith Raanan and her daughter Natalie, were kidnapped to Gaza on October 7, and released thereafter. Other members of the class are family members of people killed in the terrorist onslaught.

Generally, suits against foreign governments are barred in American courts, but such laws as the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act and the Foreign Services Immunities Act empower plaintiffs to pierce that sovereign immunity for states that are implicated in terrorism.

The Flatow Amendment to the latter statute an amendment named for Alisa Flatow, who was killed by Iran in 1995 and whose father pioneered in piercing sovereign immunity ordains that foreign states shall be liable to a United States national for personal injury or death caused by acts of that state. This suit calls Iran a co-planner of October 7 and alleges that Syria provided weapons and funding to Hamas.

The plaintiffs also allege that Syria supplied Hamas with Captagon, an amphetamine whose sale is believed to be a financial source for terrorist groups and which was used by Hamas terrorists to promote feelings of rage, irritability, and impatience, all of which encouraged them to murder and torture their victimes.

While rogue states like Iran and the Taliban have been sued before, the cases legal architects, Robert Seiden and Amiad Kushner, tell the Sun that there isnt much precedent for naming a cryptocurrency company like Binance, and its chief executive officer, Changpeng Zhao, as defendants. Mr. Kushner tells me that while he isnt fighting in Gaza, he is readying to combat Hamas in a New York courtroom.

The accusation is that Binance, which is currently registered in the Cayman Islands and whose website describes itself as operating the worlds biggest bitcoin exchange and altcoin crypto exchange in the world by volume, processed numerous transactions associated with Hamas and related Palestinian terrorist groups between 2017 and 2023, which it deliberately hid from U.S. regulators.

In November Binance, which counts 100 million customers, pled guilty to federal charges of, in the words of the complaint, failing to maintain an effective anti-money laundering program. Settlements ensued. Binances chief executive, Zhao, pled guilty to violating the Bank Secrecy Act, and awaits sentencing.

Among the violations over which Zhao presided are the processing transactions with cryptocurrency wallets that Binance senior executives had knowledge were linked to terrorist groups such as Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad. This suit explains that a significant source of funding for Hamas is cryptocurrency and that the al-Qassam Brigades, its military wing, has attempted to use cryptocurrencies as an alternative fundraising method.

Mr. Kushner tells the Sun that he reckons that regulators thus far only know the surface of Hamass reliance on the largely unregulated cryptocurrency markets and how those exchanges contributed to what the complaint names as the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust and one of the worst terrorist attacks in world history.

The Wall Street Journal reported in November that cryptocurrency had become a method of large-scale transfers between Iran and Hamas. Iran allegedly sent Hamas $350 million last year.

Binances scale is even more gargantuan. The complaint alleges that between 2021 and 2022 the company processed nearly $15 trillion in crypto trades. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission found that in 2019 Binances senior management received information regarding HAMAS transactions. The former chief financial officer then explained that terrorist organizations usually only send small sums, and one employee observed that one can barely buy an AK47 with 600 bucks.

The Raanans and their fellow plaintiffs, all of whom were murdered, maimed, taken hostage, or otherwise injured in unspeakable acts of terror perpetrated by Hamas demand a trial by jury on all issues so triable, and request compensatory, treble, and punitive damages. Binance did not reply to a request for comment by the time this article went to press.

He’s Lost His Marriage, His Followers and His Lamborghini – The New York Times

With its streamlined curves and glow-in-the-dark sound system, the silver Lamborghini Huracn Performante was the stuff of teenage fantasy: $350,000 of aerodynamic metals and lightweight upholstery, packed into a taut and powerful body. Ben Armstrong loved it dearly.

When he started shopping for a Lamborghini, Mr. Armstrong, a cryptocurrency evangelist with more than one million YouTube subscribers, worried that hed have to spend months searching. I think I have to go to Italy to get the Lambo I want, he texted a business partner. I dont want to compromise. But fate smiled on him. In the fall of 2021, a car dealership in Charlotte, N.C., shipped the Huracn to Mr. Armstrongs production studio in an Atlanta suburb.

As the Lamborghini was lowered from a delivery truck, Mr. Armstrong, better known by the nom de crypto BitBoy, let out a joyful laugh. I may have shed a tear, he said at the time.

Back then, BitBoy was one of the most popular figures in the wild, scam-ridden world of crypto influencers. Cultivating a persona as a straight-talking everyman, he filmed a livestream five days a week in which he lectured his hundreds of thousands of listeners on the virtues of experimental coins with names like Polkadot or XRP. He said that regulators were fools, and that digital money offered a path to upward mobility. The Lamborghini was vivid proof: Crypto would make you rich and cool and successful.

Two years later, Mr. Armstrong, 41, has lost his production company and much of his wealth. His friends have turned on him, and his wife has filed for divorce. Over the last five months, across countless social media posts and videos, Mr. Armstrong has claimed to be the victim of a criminal conspiracy by terrorists who took over his YouTube channel. BitBoy is dead, he recently declared.

Newspeak in Canada: Psychologist Jordan Peterson in hot water with ‘woke’ crowd – Washington Times

OPINION:

In his novel 1984, George Orwell created the term Newspeak, a language that was imposed by Big Brother for the purpose of diminishing the range of thought.

That perfectly describes what recently happened in Canada to the popular and to some controversial psychologist Jordan Peterson. Mr. Peterson, a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto and a bestselling author, appealed a ruling by the College of Psychologists of Ontario that had ordered him to undergo remedial social media training because of his beliefs. Those beliefs include his opposition to climate change hysteria, forced use of gender pronouns and gender change, among other woke subjects.

Mr. Peterson appealed the ruling by the college. An appeals court rejected his petition. He argues that proper culture and Western civilization are being undermined by postmodernism and neo-Marxism, along with other indoctrinations of political correctness.

He says his sin was tweeting opinions the college deemed unbecoming of a psychologist.

On the social media platform X, Mr. Peterson wrote: I am likely to soon lose my license to practice as a clinical psychologist in my home province of Ontario, in Canada whose historically prosaic internal politics should by all reasonable standards still be off the international radar. Its capitulate to the petty bureaucrats and the addle-pated woke mob or lose my professional license.

According to the U.S. State Departments 2020 Report on International Religious Freedom, the Canadian Constitution guarantees freedom of conscience, religion, thought, belief, opinion, expression, and the right to equal protection and benefit of the law without discrimination based on religion.

Critics are worried those protections are being eroded by the courts. A report released last year by Aid to the Church in Need, an international organization affiliated with the Catholic Church, said that while Canada is nowhere close to countries where religion is under extreme attack from oppressive governments, the report contains substantial mention of growing religious persecution in recent years, from pandemic restrictions to hate crimes to the burning of churches. Canada continues to be a place where the rule of law is respected, but generally, there has been a palpable reduction in respect for religious freedom in recent years, particularly where it has come into conflict with entrenched views relating to equality, diversity, and public health.

The case against Mr. Peterson would seem to add evidence to that perceived threat. Last year, Canada adopted a law, ironically called C-4, which in another context is an explosive. Critics say that law prevents Canadian citizens from quoting Bible verses about marriage and sexuality.

After the appeals court ruling, Mr. Peterson added to his previous post on X: You won this round. Mark my words, however: the war has barely started. There is nothing you can take from me that Im unwilling to lose.

In his book 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, Mr. Peterson writes: Speak your mind. Put your desires forward, as if you had a right to them at least the same right as others. Walk tall and gaze forthrightly ahead. Dare to be dangerous. Encourage the serotonin to flow plentifully through the neural pathways desperate for its calming influence.

Its that kind of old thinking that has gotten him into trouble with the newspeak crowd. Could such thinking be imposed in academia and elsewhere in America? It already is.

Socrates And The Discipline Of Listening To Your Internal Voice – The Daily Wire

The following is a transcript excerpt from Dr. Jordan Petersons lecture on the Trial of Socrates. He discusses why Socrates decided against a defense, and how elevating your aim and creating an ideal leads to the process of continually recapitulating yourself.

Start time: 00:00

Socrates trial. He was tried by the Athenians for failing to worship the correct gods and corrupting the youth of Athens by teaching them and asking them questions, which is a great way to corrupt people. He knew the trial was coming; Athens was not a very big place. It only had about 25,000 people. Everybody knew everybody. Everybody knew who the powerful guys were. Everybody, including Socrates, knew that the trial was a warning to get out of town: We are going to put you on trial in six months and the potential penalty is death. Got that? So Socrates had a chat with his compatriots and they were contemplating fair means and foul to set up a defense for him,or he could leave so that he could not be tried and put to death and he decided that he was not going to do that. He also decided that he was not going to even think about his defense. And he asked, why? This is quite an interesting thing: He asked, why?

He told one of his friends that he had this voice in his head a daemon or a spirit, something like that that he always listened to. That was one of the reasons he was different from other people because he always listened to this thing. It did not tell him what to do, but it told him what not to do. It always told him what not to do. If it told him not to do something, then he did not do it. If he was speaking and the little voice came up and said, No, no, then he shut up and he tried to say something else. He was very emphatic about this, and he said that when he tried to plan to evade the trial or even to mount his own defense, the voice came up and said, No, do not bother with it. And he thought, Well, what the hell do you mean by that? There is a trial coming, and I am going to be put to death.

He eventually concluded that he was an old guy. He was in his 70s. Perhaps the next 10 years were not going to be that great for him. He got a chance. Maybe the gods were giving him a chance just to bow out, to put his affairs in order, to say goodbye to everyone, to avoid that last descent into catastrophe which might have been particularly painful for a philosopher and to walk out of the world on his own terms. The point I am making with that is that Socrates attended to this internal voice that at least told him what not to do, and then he did not do it. Of course, Socrates was a very remarkable man; we still hear about him today, and we know that he existed.

As you elevate your aim, you create a judge at the same time. Because the new ideal which is an ideal even if it is just an ideal position that you might occupy or if it is still conceptualized in that concrete way that becomes a judge because it is above you. Then you are terrified of it. Maybe that is why you might be afraid when you start a new job. Because this thing is above you and you are terrified of it and it judges you. That is useful because the judge you are creating by formulating the ideal tells you what is useless about yourself, and then you can dispense with it and you want to keep doing that. Then every time you make a judgment that is more elevated, there is more useless you that has to be dispensed with. Then if you create an ultimate judge, which is what the archetypal imagination of humankind has done, say, with the figure of Christ, because if Christ is nothing else, he is at least the archetypal perfect man and, therefore, the judge. You have a judge that says, Get rid of everything about yourself that is not perfect. Of course, that is also what God tells Abraham. He says to be perfect, to pick an ideal that is high enough.

You can do this. The thing that is interesting about this is, you can do it more or less on your own terms. You have to have some collaboration from other people, but you do not have to pick an external ideal. You can pick an ideal that fulfills the rule of ideal for you. You can say, If things could be set up for me the way I need them to be, and if I could be who I needed to be, what would that look like? You can figure that out for yourself. Then instantly you have a judge. I also think that is part of the reason people do not do it.

Why do people not look up and move ahead? The answer is, you start formulating an ideal, you formulate a judge, and it is pretty easy to feel intimidated in the face of your own ideal. That is what happens to Cain versus Abel, for example. It is really easy to destroy the ideal instead of trying to pursue it, because then you get rid of the judge. But it is way better. Lower the damn judge if it is too much. If your current ambition is crushing you, then maybe you are playing the tyrant to yourself and you should tamp down your ambitions, not get rid of them by any stretch of the imagination, but at least put them more reasonably within your grasp. You do not have to leap from point one to point 50 in one leap. You can do it incrementally.

But I really like this idea. I think it is a profound idea the process of recapitulating yourself continually. It is a Phoenix-like process. You are shedding all those elements of you that are no longer worthy of the pursuits that you are valuing. Then I would say the idea here is that as you do that, you shape yourself ever more precisely into something that can withstand the tragedy of life and that can act as a beacon to the world. That is the right way of thinking about it maybe first to your friends and then to your family.

It is a hell of a fine ambition, and there is no reason that it cannot happen. You know, every one of you knows people who are really bloody useful in a crisis and people that you admire. You can think of all those people you admire as partial incarnations of the archetypal Messiah. That is exactly right. The more that manifests itself in any given person, then the more generally useful and admirable that person is in a multitude of situations. We do not know the limit to that, but people can be unbelievably good for things. It is really something to behold.

Jordan Peterson Crying Two Minutes Into Debate With Elmo – Hard Drive

Public intellectual Jordan Peterson reportedly broke down into a loud sobbing fit just two minutes into a debate on the future of Western Civilization with muppet character Elmo.

The debate, promoted as the culmination of a long-standing feud between the prominent professor and muppet, was not released. According to sources close to the incident, filming was abruptly stopped to avoid, what seemed like could become a violent situation.

Peterson, who says he collects art made by victims of muppet-based violence, pulled no punches when it came to what he thought of his opponent in the debate.

The dirty collectivist bastard, Peterson said of the three-year-old furry red muppet adored by children around the world. Post-modernists like Elmo dont understand they actually advocate for mass killing is that what you want? Well, then no way. Sorry. Not me. I wont stand for it.

Peterson said he had a plan of action to combat his apparent emotional volatility including restrictive dieting and a series of bizarre oversea procedures.

Its the inherently mother the biblically divine feminine even in my food, he said, eyes welling up. Oh god, I think there was something on my steak. If someone squeezes some lemon in my water without me knowing I can be sick for weeks.

The Elmo debate is not the first time Peterson has been recorded crying, with prior incidents occurring at rather sporadic or seemingly out of place moments. Heather Klein, a psychologist at the University of California Berkeley, said there were parts of Petersons emotional display that she found positive.

In many ways its good to see Mr. Peterson show the young men who follow him that it really is OK for men to cry. Trying to be stoic 24/7 can lead to serious outbursts and doesnt allow loved ones to know when these men need support, Klein said. That being said he could suck it up a bit dude cries all the time.

Arguments over who won the short, unaired debate raged online. Elmos fanbase released doctored tweets showing inflammatory statements not made by Peterson, and Petersons fanbase threatened to go door to door on Sesame Street until enough muppet blood had been spilled.

I will not let Western Civilization fall to the muppet scum, one Peterson supporter, who credits the professor with saving his life, said. And I will not let the muppet-loving media pretend Peterson lost the Elmo debate. If anything, he was probably only crying because he just understands the consequences of muppet ideology when they take power.

As of press time, Elmo was unavailable for comment.
