Its enabled by default for iMessage and WhatsApp, a staple of encrypted messaging platforms like Signal, and an optional feature on Facebook Messenger. For video chats, your options are slimmer. Apple offers it for up to 32 FaceTime participants, while WhatsApp allows up to eight people at a time. Signal can currently only handle encrypted one-to-one calls.

To enable E2EE, you must change an account setting that is possible by signing in only from the web version of Zoom. You can change it at the user, group, or account level.
