xAI Corp announced its first large language generative AI model called Grk (which means understand something intuitively) on Saturday, with the goal of creating a Good AGI (artificial general intelligence). The latest LLM was created by a group of engineers who have been part of other major generative AI models like OpenAI, Google, and Deep Mind.

According to Elon Musk, xAIs Grk is maximally curious and truth-curious compared to other language models. It is also said to be a truth-seeking artificial intelligence. He also stated that Grk requires substantial computing resources and is designed to be a helpful tool for consumers and businesses. It is claimed to be the best among the existing language models.

The primary advantage of Grk over other LLMs, such as ChatGPT, is its real-time access to information on X, previously known as Twitter. This is said to help platform users in delivering real-time news without any bias. Additionally, the generative AI model has been trained to include some humour with a hint of sarcasm in its responses, and it is also voice-ready.

The generative AI model is based on an 886.03 GB knowledge base called The Pile, along with the entire exabytes amount of data from platform X. In the coming days, Grk will gain more capabilities, such as image and audio recognition, along with image generation.

Other prominent features of the Grk generative AI model include up to a 25,000-character context window, higher response speed, a live search engine within X, and native compatibility with Tesla vehicles. xAIs Grk system is currently in the early beta stage and will soon be available for X Premium+ subscribers, which costs Rs. 1,300 a month or Rs. 13,600 a year when subscribed from a desktop.
