William Woods to offer first STEM-based graduate program – Fulton Sun

William Woods Universityin Fulton will begin offering its first STEM-based graduate program.

The master of business analytics will teach graduate students skills such as processing and analyzing data, data mining and utilizing artificial intelligence to justify decision-making.

Miriam O'Callaghan, associate dean of research and scholarship at William Woods, said skills in artificial intelligence and data analytics "will be some of the most in-demand skills by employers in the very near future."

"As data and technology disruptions are transforming businesses at an exponential rate, the need for workers well-versed in data analytics and related fields will rise significantly," O'Callaghan said in a press release.

O'Callaghan also stated a skills-based program similar to the new master's program will "help graduates to 'future-proof' their careers."

The addition of the program comes a year after the launch of William Woods Global, an initiative "designed to help the University to better serve working adults by increasing overall access to online programs," a release states.

The new master's program will be offered fully online in an eight week term beginning this fall.
