St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independentCatholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) invitesapplications for afull-time, 9-month, tenured, ortenure-track position with open rank to serve as Chair of theDepartment of Computer Science, beginning August 2022. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence inundergraduate instruction. Experience with curriculum developmentand assessment is a plus. Candidates with prior administrativeexperience and who have earned tenure at their current universitywill be given preference. Essential Responsibilities:Candidates should have theinterest and ability to teach a range of undergraduate courses,direct undergraduate research projects,and support a diversestudent body.Chair-specific responsibilities includescheduling and staffing courses, evaluation and development offaculty, budget management, liaising with administrators, andoversight of curriculum development and assessment.
