Two Scottish tech companies have been listed on a lucrative UK Government telecoms and network framework.

Commsworld, the UKs largest independent network provider, has won approval for its services for the fourth year running on G-Cloud 12, where it will compete for a share of between 1.8bn and 2.5bn in public sector contracts.

Meanwhile Glasgow-based data analytics innovator Bellrock Technology has successfully listed for the very first time on G-Cloud 12, which has generated more than 6bn in contracts since 2012.

Among the major service areas to all UK public sector bodies Edinburgh-headquartered Commsworld will be able to offer will be cloud hosting, cloud software and cloud support.

Bellrock Technology will provide its full range of data solutions from Data Science Deployment, to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Deployment and Machine Learning to support Government organisations in their use of data analytics.

Since its inception, there has been 6.2bn worth of sales through the G-Cloud framework, with the majority of the business coming from the UK government. Around 44% of that spend has been awarded to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
