Hey, its Jack. I know. Im late to the party. By now, most of you have probably heard about ChatGPT, Dall-E, and deepfakes. If you havent, congratulations on waking up from your year-long coma. The year is 2023, and everyone thinks the AI apocalypse is just around the corner.

Now, for those of you who have been keeping up with the news, you might have heard Sam Altman being removed as the CEO of OpenAI (and promptly reinstated with help from Microsoft). The rumor is Sam was removed due to the boards concern over major advances towards AGI (artificial general intelligence) and Sams uncandid communication with the board. The source of the rumor comes from a letter sent by Mira Murati (OpenAIs CTO) citing her concerns over OpenAIs progress on project Q* (pronounced Q-Star).

However, despite all these dramas, I think there are a few questions that you and I should be able to answer.

If you do a quick search, you will thousands of articles and videos from various media and influencers discussing the impact of AI. However, most of the impact can be summarized into three categories, content creation, jobs, and R&D (research and development).

Content CreationThe barriers to entry have never been lower for new content creators, such as me! My background comes from STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). I do not have any degree or experience in content creation. However, I do have an interest and knowledge to leverage AI for my benefit. In fact, all the images used for this article were generated by DALL-E, OpenAIs image generator. I also used ChatGPT-4, OpenAIs leading LLM (large language model), to help brainstorm and edit this article. However, there are limits and concerns with this method. I address some of them down
