FireHost, a secure cloud hosting company with offices in the US and UK, has appointed Jim Ciampaglio to senior vice president of global sales and marketing. Ciampaglio joined FireHost in late 2011 after holding many successful sales and executive roles in related high-tech and hosting companies. In his role, Ciampaglio will further expand FireHost’s global distribution channels, including the implementation of a FireHost partner program, while overseeing business development activities for the company.

“Jim is an accomplished executive with broad revenue generation experience in technology and hosting. Ciampaglio was previously the COO at NeoSpire Managed Hosting. There he was responsible for all operational departments and helped guide the company through its acquisition by Hosting.com. Prior to that role, he was vice president of sales at NaviSite, a Time Warner Cable Company that provided enterprise cloud hosting and managed services. With NaviSite he launched an SMB division and successfully implemented a global sales team focused on developing the company’s expansion into new markets. Ciampaglio was also the senior director of sales for NTT/Verio, a provider of hosted applications worldwide. Ciampaglio created the viaVerio reseller advisory board and partner portal. This program earned the company awards for its success by creating a marketplace and ecosystem that allowed its resellers to communicate and grow their businesses. Ciampaglio has also worked for Verizon, Aegis Communications and MBNA America.
